Spiders are 8-legged arthropods that can inject venom and have the segments of their bodies fused together. They have spinnerets for the production of web silk. The circulatory system consists of a simple heart, which is a tube that pumps blood through the hemocoel, or a cavity that runs along most of the body and has blood flowing through it. This type of cardiovascular system is called an open circulatory system.
